What is WinX DVD Author

WinX DVD Author allows users to create DVDs without needing any sort of expertise or experience in creating them.

After installing and opening WinX DVD Author, you will immediately notice that you have an array of options in the program. You can author a DVD, convert your video file to the VOB file-type, compile a VOB file to DVD format, and burn DVDs. There is no denying that authoring DVDs is what WinX DVD Author excels at, however.

WinX DVD Author divides the DVD authoring process into three simple phases. First, you can locate and import the video files that you wish to use in the process. You have the option of specifying in this phase where you would like the starting and ending points to be for the files. This is where you will also declare what format you want the result to be in. You can choose from standard or widescreen.

In the second phase, you get to create the menu for your DVD. You have full control over how it looks. For example, you can choose your own background image, any music you would like to play, etc.

The last phase consists of readying and converting the files for authoring and burning the DVD.

Many users with different levels of experience can all agree that WinX DVD Author is extremely easy to use, and for a basic tool that allows them to create DVDs on the fly, it is a wonderful application.

Some users might find that the application is less featured due to not allowing users to control volume levels, among other things. Additionally, conversion software included in WinX DVD Author is not very useful because it is not required to ultimately create a DVD.

Above all, it was found that WinX DVD Author is a solid solution for creating a basic DVD. Those with more advanced customization in mind might want to look elsewhere.
